Swordtail Records is now in it's 3rd year of operation from down under Australia. The label aims to bring you some of the freshest progressive sounds from producers all around the globe. With Australia not having many progressive based labels at the moment, we here at Swordtail thought it was time to try and sort that problem out.
All releases come with a variety of mixes to cover off different styles ranging from Progressive through to Downtempo and including Tech and Deep House. A number of the releases have and will continue to bring new and exciting vocal talents to the forefront. If you have any tracks that you think we might be interested in, then simply visit the contact page and drop us a link to your tune. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy what Swordtail Records has to offer the wonderful world of music.
Deuter9 are a Polish group made up of Cube Rick and Insaneman. This is their debut artist album and brings together a fusion of genres. Departure starts us off on an inspiring journey, where you truly do depart reality. Latitiude kicks in with strong sub bass and soaring high strings, to be followed by Longtitude with takes things down a techier direction with plenty of spacey zaps and rumbling basses. Gibbous Moon is a short interlude track that gives the impression of a space ship been serviced and has plenty of glitchy, techy sounds in there. Gotcha really kicks the album into a higher gear with a driving progressive trance style bassline and sublime pads. Mistranslation heads up an oriental path with some asian styled leads combing with a tech driven bass and highly fx'd vox work. Diesel Starcraft really lives up to it's name with a starcraft mood behind the electro and minimal sounds of the track. Visionary provides a lighter side to the album with melodies coming from everywhere to give this tune a real depth and emotion. Nostalgia follows in the footsteps of Visionary and takes things down an even more melodic path wending it's way through varying progressive leads and pads. Retrospective is an epic sounding track that really gives that welcome in a new day feeling, with trancey styled leads and massive breakdown. Bizarre closes out the album with a darker mood created from tough low bass hits and ghosty melodies.
