Swordtail Records is now in it's 3rd year of operation from down under Australia. The label aims to bring you some of the freshest progressive sounds from producers all around the globe. With Australia not having many progressive based labels at the moment, we here at Swordtail thought it was time to try and sort that problem out.
All releases come with a variety of mixes to cover off different styles ranging from Progressive through to Downtempo and including Tech and Deep House. A number of the releases have and will continue to bring new and exciting vocal talents to the forefront. Python delivers up Spanish Guitar with haunting pads, tough beats and a solid locked in groove, this track is one not to be messed with. Monkey Island is in a similar vein, but a little more techier and adds a bit of funk to the style. Jerico's Remix of Spanish Guitar goes for a very housey take on things and adds a nice little cut of vocal to bounce the track around. Lo Tide's Mix slows the tempo down a little, but adds some more darkness to the original and slides in and out of itself, creating a great listening piece. Style Clash techs things up a bit on Monkey Island, with low rumbling basslines carrying melodies throughout.
