The Standby Records label was founded in 2002 by DJ's Jon Sinclair and Matt Rickard and was born out of their groundbreaking mixes and radio shows for dance music's legendary Ministry Of Sound Radio.
Having presented shows for Ministry of Sound since 2002, the Standby name has been associated with all the biggest names in underground dance music including Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Timo Maas, Nick Warren, and many more.
However, the Standby label launched with the goal of discovering new talent and has exceeded all expectations - having released a series of records from debut artists from across Europe including Slytek, Quarrel, Alius & Ezzo and DeeRiVee.
With a growing talent pool and a proven track record for picking out great records and producers, Standby is a label to keep an eye on in 2009.
Slytek aka Dino Christophilopoulos and Jon Sinclair show the almighty tech-acid influences that evidently lie beneath their usual melodic sound - Slytek goes techno here with a big room/festival formula that will set hearts and minds racing this summer.
Engage, turn up and enjoy - slamming release from Standby and one of the strongest tracks yet on this label.
