Proton Music(Los Angeles, Calfornia, United States) protonradio.com
Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.
The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. Visit ProtonRadio.com for the official Proton Music website with detailed information on all our releases and extended previews of all our tracks.
Proton Music releases biweekly on Beatport, iTunes, and other digital retailers.
The progressive sounds of Derek Howell's recent EP for Proton Music gets the remix treatment from Logiztik Sounds & Kally, His Boy Elroy, and Michael Feihstel.
Logiztik Sounds, recently winning the Sasha & Beatport.com remix contest for "Mongoose" headlines the release here with production partner Kally. Logiztik Sounds has been supported heavily in the past by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, D-Nox, Kasey Taylor, Pole Folder, Anthony Pappa, Eelke Kleijn, and more. Now Logiztik Sounds prepares his own music label and radio show, keep an ear out!
His Boy Elroy serves up a theatrical interpretation of "Sick Day Getaway" complete with orchestral strings-- something he's known for after his well received "Light & Dark" EP came out earlier this year on Proton. Tim Holt (aka His Boy Elroy) has won both Wired magazine and Proton Radio remix contests, among others. His music has been supported by Tyler Michaud, Rob Mooney, Micah, Royal Sapien, Stefan Anion, and more.
Last but not least, upcoming artist Michael Feihstel provides something a bit different with his remix of "Ambiguous Venture". Michi has been featured heavily on the Proton Particles imprint this year and now makes his breakthrough release on the main Proton Music label with this highly melodic, care free, and refreshing summer cut.

"NIce music... those tracks are well produced and also have a great structure, the violins works perfect in the track with all the synths......" - 5.0 / 5
"Logiztik Sounds & Kally remix is my pick in this package. Well programmed beats, heavy syncopated rhythm to get the dancefloor moving. My only gripe is the synths really seem to clash with these futuristic sounding techy beats. The main theme of the song could have been stronger in all 3 remixes, more repetition and less ideas would have definitely helped." - 3.5 / 5
