Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.
The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. Visit ProtonRadio.com for the official Proton Music website with detailed information on all our releases and extended previews of all our tracks.
Proton Music releases biweekly on Beatport, iTunes, and other digital retailers.

The tent pole release of Proton Music's summer slate has arrived. "Clouds Passing By" by Ryan Davis was released in original form in April of 2008 with widespread DJ support culminating with plays from Sasha on his spring tour. Now the visceral melodies and top notch sound design of the original have inspired greatness in this new remix EP. It doesn't get any better than this.
"Clouds Passing By" is of the same caliber of Proton's most beloved releases, notably Fingerpaint by Digital Witchcraft and Guy J's Self Love. From the outstanding progressive delivered by Moonbeam & Eelke Kleijn to the absolutely epic techno of new comers Alt Fenster & Caleb Fox to the forward thinking electronica of Jesse Somfay & Lanny May, this release embodies what Proton stands for on all levels.

Ira Heinichen (USA) (friskyRecords, friskyRadio)
"Quality package, all tracks here are worth considering for plays. The most memorable remixes are Eelke and Moonbeam's versions. Eelke's remix is very advanced, a little slow on BPM so would have to be sped up for most people's sets. Moonbeam is quality as always. Will do my best to chart this release for September." - 4.5 / 5
