Proton Music(Los Angeles, Calfornia, United States) protonradio.com
Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.
The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. Visit ProtonRadio.com for the official Proton Music website with detailed information on all our releases and extended previews of all our tracks.
Proton Music releases biweekly on Beatport, iTunes, and other digital retailers.

The first seasonal Proton Particles compilation ("Spring Particles '08") was released a year ago and it included 8 tracks - my, how the label has grown! This time 20 solid tracks have been selected and fused; making Spring Particles 2009 a reality. Many new artists have been added to the roster for this release and a good deal of label regulars also return with new strong tracks.
This compilation will take you on a journey through many aspects of progressive; be it deep, tech, or house with more groovy rhythms. It's most definite, however, that you will find a great amount of impressive melodies and synths that will blow you away; epic breakdowns with euphoric pads, lush piano melodies, and sublime arpeggiated grooves are just some of the fine ingredients of this compilation. On the other hand there are also a great deal of tunes that are focusing on the more rough and techy aspects of house while maintaining a high level of energy.
Spring Particles 2009 has a release date of April 15th, 2009 and will be followed 2 weeks later this month with a remix compilation.

"Great piece of compilation. A few of the highlights for me are Smartminds, Inox and Seba Rebolero tracks. Defo gets my support!" - 4.5 / 5
"There are many strong tracks in this package, but I think Subfractal - Filter is the one that stands out the most, for me at least. It would definitely help if the packages came in smaller doses, if nothing else to give less artists more emphasis. Sometimes less is actually more ;)" - 4.5 / 5
