"To think 'Outside the Box' is to see things beyond the norm, to think beyond the limitations of consciousness and experience. To be a visionary".
Outside the Box Music was launched in 2006 and is the creative outlet of Dutchman Eelke Kleijn. Besides being a home base for his own productions, Outside the Box Music aims to release quality music from upcoming as well as established producers. In terms of music the label is as diverse as its name suggests, many releases not being easy to pigeonhole into a certain style but instead cross the conventional borders between them.
With releases and remixes by the likes of Dualtone (Johan Vermeulen / Jermain Hatusupy from Fine Taste & Infinitize), Kosmas Epsilon, Nick Hogendoorn, Roger Martinez, Sebastian Davidson and head-honcho Eelke Kleijn himself, the label has built up a pretty varied sound and identity. DJ Support has come from many different corners, including Hernan Cattaneo, Jimmy van M, Anthony Pappa, Fish Go Deep, Paul van Dyk and Nick Warren. Outside the Box Music is slowly but steadily becoming a well known name in quality house music.

Elusive (Lars Jacobsen) is a mildly neurotic DJ and producer from Oslo, Norway. He has been active in dance music for almost a decade; arranging parties, hosting radio shows as well as working as a journalist. He is perhaps best known as resident on 'Oslo Nights' (www.oslonights.com), but has also been creating a name as a producer for the last few years, releasing material on labels such as Lost Language, Looq, Presslab and Baroque.
His 'Back in the Days EP' is the latest signing on Outside the Box Music. Two excellent slices of slightly experimental tech / progressive house. To complete the package we have included remixes by Neos Deos (who previously released his Dazed EP with us) as well as Nick Hogendoorn and Eelke Kleijn who have already done a lot on the label. All together a strong package in a variety of styles, we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
