"To think 'Outside the Box' is to see things beyond the norm, to think beyond the limitations of consciousness and experience. To be a visionary".
Outside the Box Music was launched in 2006 and is the creative outlet of Dutchman Eelke Kleijn. Besides being a home base for his own productions, Outside the Box Music aims to release quality music from upcoming as well as established producers. In terms of music the label is as diverse as its name suggests, many releases not being easy to pigeonhole into a certain style but instead cross the conventional borders between them.
With releases and remixes by the likes of Dualtone (Johan Vermeulen / Jermain Hatusupy from Fine Taste & Infinitize), Kosmas Epsilon, Nick Hogendoorn, Roger Martinez, Sebastian Davidson and head-honcho Eelke Kleijn himself, the label has built up a pretty varied sound and identity. DJ Support has come from many different corners, including Hernan Cattaneo, Jimmy van M, Anthony Pappa, Fish Go Deep, Paul van Dyk and Nick Warren. Outside the Box Music is slowly but steadily becoming a well known name in quality house music.

As a 14th release on Outside the Box Music, Yvel & Tristan from Hungary have joined the roster. Certainly not unknown in their own country or worldwide for that matter, Yvel & Tristan have already seen their tracks appear on labels such as Global Underground and Renaissance. They were the first Hungarians ever to appear on a GU compilation. Last year they released their first mixed CD for Justmusic.fm, launching their name even further among the most well known electronic music producers in Hungary. With Legacy and Sacred Spirit, they have managed to capture two ends of the spectrum. Legacy leans towards the melodic progressive they are so well known for, while Sacred Spirit is slightly techhouse influenced with subtle vocal hits and lush pads.
Excellent remixes are included by Ben Brown and Davis & May, who both manage to take Legacy into a completely different direction. We're sure the variety offered in this package will make it appeal to all different kinds of electronic music lovers.
