Nightshade releases have reached top sales charts on major online retailers Beatport, Juno, DJDownload, Dancerecords.com and Audio Jelly. They have hit number one several times on the Progressivehouse.com promo pool chart, with high chart positions on the Balance Record Pool and Release Promo charts, and an 8/8 "pick of the month" for M8 Magazine. Nightshade Music has been able to reach a high level of success quickly by aligning themselves with great producers and remixers. Current and future catalog releases include Mazi, Jaytech, Subsky, Sebastian Davidson, Eelke Kleijn, Walsh & Coutre, Blake Jarrell, Wize, Joel Armstrong and many more established and unknown talent from around the globe. Label heads Kris B and Nosmo are no strangers to promoting music, having launched their Eggplant Music/Greylabel imprints with their debut, self-released single "One for the Road". After Sasha played this track on an Essential Mix (live from the Delta Heavy Tour), this initial release went on to be a Buzz Chart #1, Balance Record Pool chart #8, receive radio play from John Digweed, Pete Tong and Hernan Cattaneo, and appeared on five mix compilations.

S.K.O.Chicago will be a new release series highlighting the amazing cross section of talented producers currently involved in the Chicago dance music scene. We are starting with two of the hottest young names - Ben Brown and Nick Stoynoff, and have included some bonus mixes of track from label heads Kris B & Nosmo. Ben's contribution to this release is "Tuesday Night Heroes", is a trippy, dark grooving tech house/prog track, simple chunky chord driven melody, deep funky bass, blippy beats and big dynamic effects. Ben has had recent success on Blackhole Recordings, was a recent guest on Tiesto's ClubLife radio show, and has his first mix compilation due out soon. Nick's contribution is "Kings of Dirty Gold", which has already been featured on Pete Tong's Fast Trax show. It starts deep and lush, simple melodic elements build smoothly, into sparse techy beats. It's atmospheric, but still danceable, a little classic UK house, a little progressive and a little tech.
Remixes on "Tuesday Night Heroes" from Yura Popov (recently featured on Nick Warren's GU35), The Flyers, Deep Future (Uruguay) and Camilo (Argentina), who both have upcoming releases on Nightshade. Remixes on "Kings of Dirty Gold" come from Mike Kiraly (Definitive Recordings) who gave us a slammin club mix and a beautiful ambient mix, and Stacey Shergold (Houston, TX), who gave us a very deep, lush techy house mix. We've also included a bonus track in this release, Nick Stoynoff's remix of Nosmo v Kris B "One for the Road 2008", a stomping melodic interpretation, Nick used the vocals over a different harmonic, with a tribal deep bell percussion line, big dirty bass & synths, very dynamic, big room, peak time. Also on this package, Nosmo v Kris B 'Ostrich' (Paul Loraine's Head in the Sand mix), an incredibly well produced, tripped out, techy minimal pumpin remix, treat yourself and blast this mix on some really good speakers.
