Nightshade Music - a digital label focusing on melodic tech house and techno, and the deeper, techy edge of progressive & house. Launched in February 2008 by Nosmo & Kris B, the label met with immediate success. Support for Nightshade releases has come from the most respected DJ's & producers in the world; Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Matt Darey, Eelke Kleijn, with tracks featured on BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Frisky, and on Kris and Nosmo’s monthly shows for DI.fm and Protonradio.com. Darren Emerson has included Nightshade Music’s Nosmo v Kris B & Ben Brown “La Cocina”(Mazi dub) for his Global Underground 36: Bogota compilation, and Blake Jarrell is including a Nightshade track on his next album for Armada Music. Nightshade releases have reached top sales charts on major online retailers Beatport, Juno, DJDownload, Dancerecords.com and Audio Jelly. They have hit number one several times on the Progressivehouse.com promo pool chart, with high chart positions on the Balance Record Pool and Release Promo charts, and an 8/8 "pick of the month" for M8 Magazine. Nightshade Music has been able to reach a high level of success quickly by aligning themselves with great producers and remixers. Current and future catalog releases include Mazi, Jaytech, Subsky, Sebastian Davidson, Eelke Kleijn, Walsh & Coutre, Blake Jarrell, Wize, Joel Armstrong and many more established and unknown talent from around the globe. Label heads Kris B and Nosmo are no strangers to promoting music, having launched their Eggplant Music/Greylabel imprints with their debut, self-released single "One for the Road". After Sasha played this track on an Essential Mix (live from the Delta Heavy Tour), this initial release went on to be a Buzz Chart #1, Balance Record Pool chart #8, receive radio play from John Digweed, Pete Tong and Hernan Cattaneo, and appeared on five mix compilations.

The second release on Nightshade Music comes from the New York duo
Holosound. Holosound recently remixed Kaskade's "Be Still" for Ultra
records, Jaytech's "Engage" and have had several well received solo
productions. The original mix of "Ah" will be another, with funky house
beats, a bouncey bassline, progressive melodies and Holosound's chopped up
vocal sound.
Remixes on this package come from Kabuto & Koji (Costa Rica) who have been
getting major support from every minimal & tec-house DJ lately. They have
recent remixes on Get Physical/Kindisch, and upcoming EP's on Audiofly Music
and Steve Lawler's Viva Music label. Their deep, drum heavy remix of "Ah"
showcases all the best aspects of minimal, big low-end dynamics, hypnotic
sounds and percussion to keep the mix driving. This mix will continue to
turn the heads of all the big DJ's supporting their sound.
Nosmo (formerly of Grayarea) turns in a funky, progressive, tec-house remix,
HUGE bassline. Great big room track, retro synth stabs, and a bit more
anthemic take on the original melody. Nosmo adds a dirty, fast analog
arpeggio to give it just a touch of sci-fi dirt. This mix has gotten a
10/10 rating from many of our record pool reactions.
Akbal Dubroots (Cancun, MX) give a darker, techy house remix. Big tribal
percussion blends into deep-techy, late night synth sounds. The choppy
vocal sample returns and things get even darker. They manage to move
smoothly into a nice melodic breakdown, and when the dark elements and big
percussion come back in under it, it gives this remix a great, driving edge.
