Nightshade releases have reached top sales charts on major online retailers Beatport, Juno, DJDownload, Dancerecords.com and Audio Jelly. They have hit number one several times on the Progressivehouse.com promo pool chart, with high chart positions on the Balance Record Pool and Release Promo charts, and an 8/8 "pick of the month" for M8 Magazine. Nightshade Music has been able to reach a high level of success quickly by aligning themselves with great producers and remixers. Current and future catalog releases include Mazi, Jaytech, Subsky, Sebastian Davidson, Eelke Kleijn, Walsh & Coutre, Blake Jarrell, Wize, Joel Armstrong and many more established and unknown talent from around the globe.
Label heads Kris B and Nosmo are no strangers to promoting music, having launched their Eggplant Music/Greylabel imprints with their debut, self-released single "One for the Road". After Sasha played this track on an Essential Mix (live from the Delta Heavy Tour), this initial release went on to be a Buzz Chart #1, Balance Record Pool chart #8, receive radio play from John Digweed, Pete Tong and Hernan Cattaneo, and appeared on five mix compilations.

1. Intuition (Torin remix)
2. Intuition (Colin C. Visitor 7 remix)
3. Intuition (Torin mnmlst remix)
Torin and Colin C. return to Nightshade with some stellar remixes. Torin (Perfecto, Cold Harbour) has been a friend since long before Nightshade (before label head Kris B was even producing) he delivers first with two outstanding mixes, one a pumpin melodic tech house mix, and a second more minimal interpretation. The Torin remix comes in with a slammin beat and pounding club dynamics, choppy synth bits from the original with vocal chops and meta

NSM020 Electroaspect - Intuition pt.1 (Nov 25th, 2009)

1. Intuition
2. Intuition (Josh DuPont remix)
3. Intuition (Grunjah remix)
4. Intuition (Vitas Merkel remix)
Josh DuPont, Grunjah and Vitas Merkel all join Nightshade to remix Electroaspect's techy melodic orignal tune. 'Intuition' comes in with a pumped up housey beat as melodic elements tease and the driving bass rolls underneath, giving way to a clean slow haunting arpeggiated synth riff that comes in throughout as the dynamics build. Electroaspect (Aljaz Fajmut, Slovakia) has been making quite a name for himself lately with well received releases

NSM019 Panos - Machine Music (Oct 28th, 2009)

1. Machine Music (Kris B remix)
2. Machine Music (Jairus Miller remix)
3. Machine Music (Banx remix)
4. Machine Music
Kris B, Jairus Miller and Banx deliver three different takes on Panos's techy melodic original, as we keep this release entirely within the extremely talented pool of U.S. based artists. The original from Panos (following recent well received releases on Brandnewvibe and Giant Squid) comes in with a driving club beat and big sidechained pads, while synth blips make the melody over the top and a big dirty bass drops underneath. The track strips do

NSM018 Deep Future - Distance Love (Sep 2nd, 2009)

1. Distance Love (Beat Factory remix)
2. Distance Love (Joel Armstrong remix)
3. Distance Love (Python remix)
4. Distance Love (original mix)
5. Distance Love (Yura Popov remix)
Remixes from Joel Armstrong, Beat Factory and Python compliment the excellent original production from Deep Future (a.k.a. Dj Santa Cruz, Uruguay). The original mix and edit combine new school tech house and progressive flavors, with an old school techno feel and retro Joey Beltram reminiscent "ecstacy" samples. Deep bass rumbles under a shuffly beat, a higher synth bass makes for the lead melody as choppy vocal bits echo throughout. Simple ar

4. Yellow Moon
5. Deep Blue
Roell Sapphire, Python and Kris B deliver with some of Nightshade's finest remixes to date, complementing these techy melodic progressive originals from Argentina's Camilo (a.k.a. Diego Poblets). Roell Sapphire quite possibly steals the show with his perfectly crafted mix, taking the melodic progression further with a chunky driving bassline, beautiful complimentary melodies and elegant arrangement, creating something new and at the same time fa

'Lost Words' is a different kind of house tune, techy shuffle, bright vibe, funky organ and a great housey progression. Yura Popov (Carica Records) remix of 'Last Words' starts with a pumpin techno groove, big

NSL001 Kris B v Nosmo - Yes We Did / Yes We Dub (Dec 24th, 2008)

1. Yes We Did
2. Yes We Dub
Kris B & Nosmo come through with a big room, peak time track featuring excerpts
from the dramatic acceptance speech of fellow Illinois icon Barack Obama. Shuffly beats give way to simple driving chords and bass, the vocal drops in classic house style, highlighting the most uplifting moments. This track builds and swells
with huge dynamics. A dub mix is included for those who wish to remain politically impartial, or just like the music.<

3. Devil May Care (Luke Porter remix)
4. Devil May Care (Francesco Pico remix)
Walsh & Coutre, Luke Porter and Francesco Pico join the label, along with talented Melbourne, AUS newcomer, Craig McWhinney. The original mix starts with a big deep kick, and washy chords that tease, until the bass drops amidst a funky tight percussion groove. The track builds and swells, rising to a massive crescendo, with a huge string line and bangin' beats. This immediately reminded us of some of our favorite deep, melodic house producers

1. La Cocina (Mazi remix)

3. La Cocina (original mix)
Mazi and Pako and Frederik are the featured remixers, on the first part of this massive two part release. 'La Cocina' features the sexy, spoken Spanish vocals of Mercedes, telling a dirty little tale, physically and geographically, of things she would like done to her. It takes place over a pumpin tech house groove, sparse, dissonant bell leads, soft orchestral notes in the break – shattered with a gritty bassline and spooky effects.

NSM006 Virus J & DJ Sun - We Are The Robots (Jun 19th, 2008)

1. We Are The Robots

Virus J & DJ Sun first hit most people's ears through releases and remixes on Distraekt (Pilliavin & Zimbardo's label). Since then, their work has been supported by John Digweed, Hybrid, Anthony Pappa, they even found themselves opening up for Underworld.
"We Are The Robots" has a funky bassline, driving beats, vocoded vocals (paying homage to Kraftwerk no doubt), lots of weird hits, mechanical noises and melodies. This is a cross-genre, e

3. Kids On Acid (Nosmo v Kris B electro mix)
4. Kids On Acid (Kabuto & Koji remix)
5. Kids On Acid (Jason Kilgore mix)
The original mix is powerful, busy, tech house. Dark quirky sounds and pitched 909 toms make the bulk of the melody, over a dirty, acid bassline. The vocal sample comes from a 1960's science reel on LSD experimentation. Jeff Devas turns in a tribal, driving, progressive remix. Huge drums, cool techy chords, and big melodic dynamics in the break. Nosmo v Kris B bring a peak time, acid tinged electro house remix. Kabuto & Koji did a deep, tec

beats, a bouncey bassline, progressive melodies and Holosound's chopped up
vocal sound.
