Our Hungarian friend Kay-D returns to Mistique Music with a brand new 4-track EP.
"Ascension" is the first track on this release, which is introduced by a batch of energetic percussion lines. Mesmerizing vocal stabs are added later along with cool pad lines and other melodic sound effects. New interesting melodies are added in the break, and the rolling bassline continues to support the overall groove of this track.
Up next is "Around The Mars" which starts off with a rather driving and frisky beat, and the bassline is just as energetic. Many various sweeps, stabs, and other sound effects are added to the mix to create a very enjoyable atmosphere, and the groovy bassline help to maintain the extreme funkiness of this track.
The third track called "Boundless Sheet" begins very atmospheric and moody because of the many pad lines with long reverb and the rhythmic bassline. The melodies introduced in the break make this part rather hypnotic and intriguing - also because of some cool vocal samples a few places.A track very suitable for sets with moody atmospheres and deep basslines.
"Floating Islands" closes this package. A firm beat along with many pad lines and additional other synths are soon established, and these pads continue to enhance the atmosphere throughout this track. Many delayed synths are introduced later on, and their rhythm and structure help to keep the groove of this track in place.
Lastly, Kay-D offers a track he created in memory of the producer Ali Inzel, who passed away recently. The track is called "In Memory Of Ali Inzel" and is available for free download.
