LuPS Records [Locked Up Progressive Sounds] was founded by Jacco Oude Kotte (aka Jacco@Work) in March 2008 and is based on the experiences of making 5 years of radioshows and mixes for PureDJ.com, Dynamix-radio, Purefm, ETN.fm and many other stations. Besides that Jacco@Work is around in the musicbusiness for almost 20 years now.
LuPS Records stands for the opportunity to discover the true meaning of progressive house music. Progressive house music in its pure form. Straight from the heart into the mind and body. ‘Heart over Mind’ so to speak (Now the logo has been explained as well ;-) )
Furthermore the label aims to bring you some of the finest progressive house sounds from established and new breed producers all around the world.
And last but not least the labels artwork since release 010 get done by good friend and Illustrator Wizard d-phrag from Bulgaria.
Josel delivers a fine piece of melodic deephouse with pretty catchy synthstabs put on traditional Josel beats and baselines. The original track already gathered some attention after the 1st time that it had been played inone of Jacco@Work's radioshows.
East Café which turns this one into a very dancefloor minded piece of prog.
Phonic Deep delivers a very emotional and deep rework with fingerlicking soundscaps. Without a doubt one of Phonic Deep’s best productions to date.
Hassan Rassmy keeps it close to the original but added some fine extra lines and stabs.
Jacco@Work turns the original into a solid tech-house version which rips up a dancefloorfor sure.

"quality release with a classic progressive sound. some of the remixes like the jacco@work one might miss a small originality twist to be even better. i prefer the deep drive of the original and the vapourous atmosphere of the "phonic deep remix"." - 4.0 / 5

"So many strong remixes in here, it is virtually impossible to choose a favorite. I really love the feel of the whole package. The one comment I do have is that I feel the future packages should include a little more variety for other styles of music. This could only help draw more people into the label." - 4.5 / 5

"While the various remixes provide nice variety, they all need a bigger 'feel' to them. They sound kind of thin, washed out. Too trancey to play in my sets." - 2.0 / 5
