Name Of The Label: Gheymaid Inc. Records Label Foundation : December 2009 Music Style : Electro/Bitpop/SID-Pop/Chip-Style Chief : Arman Behdad
Gheymaid Inc. has its roots in the Commodore 64-Demoscene. It is a Demoscene-Group consisting of different Programmers, Graphic and Music Artists forming so called "Demos" on the Commodore 64. Demos are similar to Videoshows, presenting non-believable Graphics, Musics and Effects on the Commodore 64, that would have been impossible to realize with the knowledge 10-20 years ago, in the early times of the good old Home Computer, which was the most popular one in the 80's.
In December 2009, Arman Behdad, known for his Chillout-Music at Bonzaimusic Records, had the idea to form a music label named after the same Demo Group he invented in 2007.
The Label will concentrate on Chipmusic inspired Electroclash/Hard Trance/Hardcore etc., forming a unique style called "Lightcore", a new invented genre. Chipmusic sounds similar to the Bleep Blop Sound of 8-Bit-Computers/Game-Consoles of the 80's, such as the C64, Atari XL/XE, NES, GAMEBOY and more. Combined with modern music and presented by Gheymaid Inc. Records, the Lightcore Style will hopefully experience a complete new wave in the Music Scene according to Parties, CD Compilations, Singles and Albums.
Philosophically Gheymaid Inc. stands for Love and Light combined with Arman Behdad's behaviour to enjoy coffee and cigarettes like a chimney and Nestlé-Machine, that's why the motto of our label is simply :
"In Soviet Russia Coffee And Cigarettes Enjoys You!"
And more of those very serious slogans...
However, beside that we would like to release really Elite kind of music, we want to also be humorous in what we do. An totally inventive...!
Gheymaid Inc. is the main Label for the Chipmusic inspired Electro-Style, while there will be sublabels also for the Trance section, as well the Techno section of the kinda dark stuff.
Here comes Purplastic's debut EP "Nathalia" with several Remixes, including one by Jean Mare, also known as Frank Borell, who had already his placement on Café Del Mare and other Compilations.
Get ready for more releases by Purplastic, who will concentrate on a new genre called "Lightcore", a mix between Electroclash + Hardtrance + Chipmusic.
Nathalia contains a melody taken from a Commodore 64 SID Music piece by Johannes Bjerregaard.
Enjoy this release!
