Citric is the brainchild of label boss Noah Becker and former Holosound collaborator Alex Fish. 2009 saw a few very solid releases from label mainstays and the introduction of Deep Cycle's meticulously crafted tech house to the repertoire.

In 2010 and beyond, Citric will be distributed by the esteemed Critical Rhythm team. As well, Citric welcomes the addition of Shane Wheel aka Shane Thomas to the team. Shane has myriad slamming releases out on Tambour/Melodica and Citric is lucky to have partnered with such a bright upcoming US talent. Shane will be conducting all A and R and helping out with operations and of course, lookout for the new collaboration between Shane and Noah in May...it promises to be nothing short of mind blowing.

For Citric’s 12th release we have the Goose Bumps Remixes, featuring a flurry of up and coming talent including upstart B Miller, Deep Cycle’s second Citric offering, and a triumphant return to Citric by Dudu Nahas.

Dudu provides a smooth as silk rendition of the original by de-constructing the bass and main melody lines from the original and placing them sparsely about the track with a wide array of breezy, subtle instrumentation. Adding a captivating saxophone-esque lead line out the back, Dudu steps into Spring with Citric...delivering a true prog tech winner that has soul to burn. Amazing work from our main man south of the equator.

Deep Cycle is back once again after an impressive turn on the Around the Corner package- here he toys with a brief section of the melody and only the chunkiest section of the original bass line to create a stabbier, sparser, but all the more filthy low end construct to his track. Working in glitch percussion and very subtle low end accents in breaks, Deep Cycle mixes methodical technical precision with just the right amount of soul and funk to create a truly booty-tech remix of the more progressive original.

B Miller jumps out with his first commercial release with a banging prog tech jam, paying homage to the original melody but adding a ton of funk and filth factor, with incredibly dramatic breaks and moments of suspense placed throughout the mix. A sparse but moody main breakdown brings it out the back where Miller toys between funky and progressive tech that will meld well in the peak hour of a set or for a late night energy pick me up.

Noah takes a stab at his own track here with his 7th Hour Remix. Chunky, carefully placed percussion, mixed with a super funky bassline and sparse, delayed elements of the original, make for a groovy heads down opening section that builds into a more straight forward breakdown and drop/peak and main string line. The funk returns out the back making for a solid mid-set builder.
