Citric is the brainchild of label boss Noah Becker and former Holosound collaborator Alex Fish. 2009 saw a few very solid releases from label mainstays and the introduction of Deep Cycle's meticulously crafted tech house to the repertoire.

In 2010 and beyond, Citric will be distributed by the esteemed Critical Rhythm team. As well, Citric welcomes the addition of Shane Wheel aka Shane Thomas to the team. Shane has myriad slamming releases out on Tambour/Melodica and Citric is lucky to have partnered with such a bright upcoming US talent. Shane will be conducting all A and R and helping out with operations and of course, lookout for the new collaboration between Shane and Noah in May...it promises to be nothing short of mind blowing.

For CITRIC Recordings' 3rd release we've got one track from New York City's Rami Deejay. Rami's been DJing in NYC for over eight years and has worked with Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Harry Choo Choo Romero. While these artists are legends in their own right, the genre similarities between his first track for CITRIC, "Sinister Habit," and the style of house these legends are known for is virtually non-existent. "Sinister Habit" closely mirrors the DJ sound Rami's cultivated over the past several years and reflects his dedication to crisp tech house with just enough soul to win over the ladies. Reverbed bells, white noise and swinging brushed snares build throughout this seven minute dance-floor heater to an ominous organ chord progression that eventually becomes the focal point of the track and brings you smoothly out the back.

We're proud to present this little slice of what CITRIC and New York Tech House is all about. Enjoy ;-)

DJ Reactions:
"Sinister Habit has a very good build-up. This will make a nice warm-up track." - 3.5 / 5
