Established in late 2008, Beneath Records is set to make its mark in 2009 with its main room, epic, driving sound. Our Aim is to bring forward and support new talents but also to bring you releases from producers who are rocking the dance music scene now.
Originating from the depths of central Scotland Roy Mclaren needs little introduction.
Having already gained support from DJs such as the Shapeshifters, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles, ATFC and Trophy Twins. Roy's disograpthy includes releases on Nocturnal Groove, Defected and Funktion Records (Chicago).
Roy's style of melodic, uplifting and intelligent house music is right up our street. Both tracks give great diversity and originality, with there cool and infectious sounds.
So about the tracks then.......
Avalon- An absolute banger, tight grooving beats combined with a driving chord structure and solid rolling bassline, resulting in a full blown club stormer!
Seperation-If there was any track that you wanted to describe as cool house music this would be it. The piano sends shivers down your spine while the groovy beat keeps the momentum moving. Really feeling the breakdown aswell on this track, as it lets you sit back and chillout.
Roy certainly knows how to put a good tune together as well as being a cracking DJ, already gaining gigs at festivals such as Global Gathering, and shows throughout Europe in the forthcoming months.
