Area Sur is a Techno digital record label based in Buenos Aires. Founded in the year 2008 by top DJ & producer Luis Nieva, a main character in modelling Argentinean's electronic music scene during the 90's.

Luis formed part of the mythical Urban Groove Djs Collective created in 1994, producing the first massive rave parties in the country. After quitting Urban Groove, with fellow ex member Miguel Silver, they conceived the powerful duo Spitfire in 2001. Since then, their 4 turntables and effects dynamic set has toured all around the world, performing with artists like Carl Cox, Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Dave Angel, Colin Dale, among others.

In October 2008, Area Sur Records releases it's first EP "Evolution Change". Since then, the label has grown rapidly and quickly gained international fame, receiving full support from artists like: Eelke Kleijn, Oliver Moldan, MOS, Anthony Papa, Fin Cut Bodies, JP Sgalia, Orde Meikle, Distaff, Elio Riso, Chloe Harris, Jerome Robins, Darin Epsilon, and entering several times the Release Promo charts.

Artists like Junior Lopez aka Flug, Jacco @ Work, Gerardo Boscarino, Distaff, Fernando Picon, Federico Giust, Nicholas Van Orton, Pacco & Rudy B, 2Robots, Adnan Sharif, Diego Mongelos, Audiovek, Norman Bias, Pep Bago, are just a few names of the crew who's suming up to Luis Nieva's new proyect.
