Forming in May 2009, AlterImage Recordings is a digital music label established by NYC djs and producers Adam Force & Ian Resler aka AlterImage.
The label was created as an outlet for not only AlterImage productions but also for other likeminded, forward thinking EDM musicians. AIR looks to release music from all over the House and Techno sound spectrum while maintaining a common thread of emotive, intelligent and high quality musical production.
While still young, the label has amassed an artist roster of some of the biggest names in electronic dance music and looks to bring up new talent to the forefront of the scene.
AlterImage Recordings does not stop with releasing tracks alone. The label holds events showcasing their latest releases and talented artists at the best clubs in NYC and run a bi-monthly show on the Exposure NYC channel on DiFM.
AlterImage offers its fans and artists the very best in club and electronic music culture and keep true to their underground roots of the music they are so passionate about.
The fourth release on AlterImage Recordings come by way of Clouded Minds’ Doug Waylo who turns in 2 fantastic club stomping tracks “Breathless” and “Logic & Reason”.
“Breathless” is a throwback to the progressive breaks sound that ruled the clubs in the late 90’s. It incorporates twisted samples, smooth flowing percussion and a gorgeous melodic hook. UK’s SOS fame Demi’s edit strips the melody and slows the track down to create a chugging, dark interpretation.
“Logic & Reason” combines a progressive flow with tribal drums and floating hypnotic FX that is perfect for picking up the pace and building the groove. Remixes come by way of UK’s Harold Heath who works in his signature musical elements and creates an excellent flowing and hard hitting tune. USA’s Peter Martin takes things to another level and turns in a late night club stomper. Using a dizzying array of FX and tension building leads this has been doing damage on dance floors around the word.

"Breathless reminds me of old Cyber releases - DJ Nukem, Chab, etc. Deep, dark and chuggy. I'm not too keen on the key change but it does have a certain appeal to it. This is almost begging for a chunky breaks remix. Logic & Reason take the cake though. Again, similar vibe as Breathless but just that much better. This kicks like a pissed off mule. The remixes seem to take away all of the 'chunk' of the original tracks. " - 4.0 / 5
