(Part I) - How to get your label approved

1. Completely fill out your label profile and upload a professional label logo. Your label will not be approved if we know nothing about it.

2. Give interesting background information about your label and where you are from. If it's a new label, tell us about your future plans.

3. Have a professional website or myspace, with correct contact information and links to availability.

4. Submit your releases, with full release information. Double check proper release dates.

5. Create and upload sample clips at least 192kbps 2-3 min recommended. Doing this allows others to rate releases.

6. Add new releases at least 3-4 weeks before release date.

7. Submit your new releases for review on mypromopool.com and to the promo pool.

8. Have patience, and submit release information early.

(Part II) - How to get the most from the promo pool

1. Upload a compressed .ZIP or .RAR with 320kbps quality files only.

2. Use Private FTP to manage your online files and sample clips.

3. Properly categorize the genre and include full release information.

4. The Top 100 Charts create powerful exposure for new releases. The chart is compiled daily and emailed to 16,500+ every Tuesday. It proudly appears on the front page of mypromopool.com and is syndicated to many top industry message boards.

5. Many labels and artists often check back for chart rankings. The highest rank reached will appear on your label release pages.

6. For even greater promotion and exposure, get featured.
