How to Get Your Application Approved
» Fill your profile completely. Have a clear and consise bio, well-written. Emphasize major accomplishments and releases. » List affiliates - record labels, radio stations, clubs, promotional companies, you have worked with. » Have a proper website and/or Myspace. Info should be up-to-date and include upcoming gigs or news. » Upload a professional headshot or press photo. » Keep your profile up to date, provide as much information as possible. Be persistant and try again if you are not approved the first time around. To Apply, fill in your DJ Application You will be notified by email of your approval status, and once approved you may begin your subscription at any time. - What is Mypromopool.com and how does it work?
A promo pool (or record pool) consists of DJs and other industry professionals who provide feedback on promotional releases. Based on those reactions, record labels can judge the marketability and strength of upcoming releases. Ratings from promo pool members are compiled in a top 100 chart and published on the website.
The top 100 charts can often have influence on what other DJs pay attention to, play or support. Your reactions matter, and your comments help influence future label releases. - What kind of music is in the pool?

- I already get promos, why should I join?
New labels and releases are added every week. Provide your reactions and build rapport with many industry professionals and labels from around the globe. If you already get promos, add your reactions to further support the labels you are playing.
Your own reactions promote you as a DJ to labels and artists on MyPromoPool.com. Your reactions are immediately emailed to the labels and appear on the label release pages with a link to your DJ profile. - How much is membership?

- How can I apply?

- What are the criteria for DJs?
There are several criteria for membership approval, including but not limited to overall industry experience, radio show exposure, active gigs, professionalism, and geographic location.
- I've submitted my application, how long until I'm approved?
We will evaluate your application and if you've provided all required info and qualify for promo access, you'll be sent an email, usually within a few minutes via our new application process.
Should we require more information, you'll receive an email on how to update your profile. Contact our support team should you have any questions. - What are affiliates? Why do I need them?
Affiliates are any agencies, managers, promoters, labels, radio stations, or other groups you are currently working with. By adding affilates, you give yourself more credibility by showing who is supporting you.

- How can I apply as a Label?
Register here then submit your Label Application.
- How far in advance do labels submit new music?
We recommend labels upload and submit releases 3-4 weeks in advance. The sooner you submit, the longer the release has a chance to be featured on the Top 100. New releases are eligible to appear on the Top 100 chart up until release date only.
- Who will get our promos?
We have a strict application process that ensures only the best professional like minded people have access to your music. Several criteria are considered for new DJ members, including but not limited to overall industry experience, radio show exposure, active gigs, professionalism, and geographic location. - Where is the Top 100 posted? How often is it updated?
The Top 100 chart is updated daily and prominently featured on MyPromoPool.com. Every Tuesday, the chart is emailed out to 25,531 subscribers, posted on several key industry message boards, and syndicated on many websites from around the world.
- I already get feedback from DJs, why should I join?
Placement in the Top 100 Charts gives your artists and releases improved exposure with a global reach. Reactions are immediately emailed to you and posted on your release pages.
- How much does it cost?
Submit for FREE for labels, with unlimited storage for your files and releases.
- Are there any royalties?
Submitting new music to the pool is completely voluntary. Ranking in the Top 100 Charts gives labels and artists great exposure with a global reach.
- I had a release in the pool, why was it dropped?
To maintain quality threshold standards we may drop a release if it is shown to be underperforming. We encourage labels to submit only the best quality content for our DJs.
