  Begining in 1989 the journey of François-Pierre R.-Legendre aka Jim_Star into the electronic music world started with the discovery of EBM (Front 242, Skinny Puppy). The work of Yello and the early goa/psy sound where also in the first influences to catch his attention. He also started to produce his own music that same year building beats and melodies with the family computer. In the early 90's François started to produce events being the first to put the "rave" scene in action in his home town of Chicoutimi. Jim_Star developed an open-minded aproach to electronic music and played almost all styles ranging from the deepest chilled out dub to the harder sounds of hardcore and drum n' bass. Sharing stage with artists like Preach, Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Marco G, Simon Tawell, Alex Axx Koss, Manu le malin, Sid Shanti, Nigel Richards, Phillgood, Dino Psaras, Mapiu & Nash, Jimmy Savard, Christian Smith and many other great talents. His sound is more into the realms of tech-house and progressive these days with some minimal and break beat chunks here and there. Jim is also busy in the studio releasing trough his own No Sound imprint and collaborating with labels like Dubok Sound and Monique Musique. In 2005, he started the Alice Management agency wich is now working with djs all around the world.
