During the last 22 years behind the decks Michael Muston has perfected his art of delivering quality music while sharing his party attitude with the crowd. Being exposed to various event types early his career and later diving deep into the underground scene has sculpted a DJ with a great understanding of nightclub dynamics and crowd-pleasing tactics, Today a polished DJ on the U.S. scene, guest DJ’ing through out the south region of the U.S. and of a number of radio mix-shows, DJ’ing and the relentless pursuer of the perfect party, Michael continues his journey fueled by his passion!!

Michael began his DJ career in the mid-80’s just as the dance music movement was gaining momentum. You know, the days of break-dancing and bad fashion styles. The scene was in its infancy; Michael’s adventure began in Indianapolis. As the world listened to the likes of Hall&Oats, Pat Benator and Culture Club: the early house producers were tweaking the knobs in their first studio. Intrigued by house music he went on to organize his first dance in 1987 at which he played on two belt-drive turntables and cassette deck. Shortly after that he was organizing his first nights at local clubs. Serving a mix of early European dance hits. House, New Beat, Alternative, and what was then known as high energy he kept the parties in check. During the following years Michael played hundreds of events, mostly as the resident of a particular night and behind the turntables for six to eight hours at a time. His early musical influences ranged from Alternative, New Beat, Hi-Energy, and new-wave to house and early Techno. Groups like Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Nitzer Ebb, The Orb, Underworld, Orbital, Jam & Spoon (RIP Jam) and Leftfield.

In the nineties, Michael played at numerous events and clubs while successfully landing guest DJ spots on local FM radio stations. Clubs such as Club Anytime, Moscow and Club Oxygen and Ruperts in Atlanta, Michael has also played in many clubs in Florida such as Icon, Firestone, Zone, Club Liquid and Respectables. Michael has been handed the task of opening the nights for the likes of Danny Howells, Jody Wisternoff, Meat Katie, Parks & Wilson, Sander Kleinenberg, Max Graham, Frankie Bones, Steve Lawler, and others.

Michael’s collection of music is vast and precious. Since the 1980’s, Michael has pursued and collected the best dance music to be found on earth. From Hip Hop to progressive sound clearly one of the top collections in the world including many traxs that has yet to be enjoyed locally. Michael has established a network of artist, promoters, and record labels in Europe and domestic which have granted him zero day release on music. A privilege granted to only a select few. Today Michael receives over 200 new releases a DAY from hundreds of record labels and producers promos of all genres from all over the world. This has given Michael a huge edge over the competition. Currently Michael has been working on his own traxs in his studio, while guest DJ’ing in many cities around the country.

SEE YOU AT THE CLUBS
