His passion for music started with when he purchased his first boom-box in the mid 90’s. At times where all he had were tapes as his tools, he used to explore with music and learned how to feel the beat. At the age of 15 he started recording mix tapes using his double deck tape recorder. Omar explored with different Genres of Music from Alternative to Rock, Metal, Rap , Hip hop and Euro Dance until he first heard “Meet her at the love parade” which started a spark and triggered his love for electro Music. Then he started mixing music using very basic softwares and CDJ’s. Omar developed his skills through a journey of trial and error and lots of self learning. When Omar left for college, he started his own weekly live show using the college Radio station as his medium of exploration and self expression. He started playing in private parties for friends and family. By 2003 Omar was already rocking the beats from his dorm room through weekly house sessions. He knew he had a passion that is growing and a talent to match as he seeked the perfect opportunity to flourish and add his own touch on the house music scene. Omar has a taste to underground tracks that are unknown to the mainstream. Now Omar plays in private parties and hosts a weekly session called the PME session. His sessions get broadcasted on reputed online radio stations all over the world. They are available for download on iTunes stores in Canada and the US. Omar’s specialty is Progressive and Electro house. His style starts with uplifting Tracks that takes you on a trip of rhythm and beats building up progressively and ending with a perfect and steady landing. Only recently, he started producing his own tracks with the ambitions to release a CD by 2012. |
