DJ Marcus (Chicago, IL, USA) Affiliates: DI.FM, XTC Radio London; frisky Radio; Progressions with DJ Marcus http://myspace.com/djmarcus71 DJ Marcus first got on the decks in 2001 while residing in Austin, TX. He quickly became a regular in the Austin afterhours scene playing 4-6 hour sets. The afterhours scene begged for dark progressive house and his original favorite labels were Baroque, Fluid, and Hooj Choons. During his last 6 months in Texas he played regularly at Austin clubs and shared billings with numerous international DJ superstars at massive parties in Dallas, Houston, and Austin. In 2002 DJ Marcus returned to his homestate of Illinois to attend law school. He quickly landed a short lived residency at the famous Crobar. This venue closed under new management for almost a year. Since that time he could be seen now and then at Chicago clubs such as Vision, Transit, Spybar, Smartbar, and Red No. 5. His new DI.FM show Progressions will air the fisrt Thursday of the month from 2-4 EST. |
