Alistair Gillespie (Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina) Affiliates: Crobar Buenos Aires, Proton Radio / Elefant (A & R) http://www.myspace.com/djalistairg Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the 4th of July 1986. Moves to Buenos Aires, Argentina at age 12. In 2003 he decides to immerse himself in the EDM scene playing at bars and underground parties in Buenos Aires,Argentina like Sira, Dub Club,Style, Level Lounge, Fly Sessions and Reanimation Parties.In 2004 he starts his own show at Underground Sounds Radio called "Southern Sounds"along with Guillermo Casasnovas aka William and was also invited as a guest dj for the well known online radio station Dance Latino America www.dancelatinoamerica.com. Throughout his career, Alistair has been invited to play at well known clubs in Buenos Aires such as Crobar, Mint, Bahrein, Rumi, Jackos, The Whiteroom and Jet Lounge. 2007 was an important year as he became one of the resident djs at "BE" parties held at "Rumi" where he was able to share the booth with djs such as Jimmy Van M and Martin Diaz, while also playing in Rumis' "Batonga" parties alongside Zuker and Fabian Dellamonica. "The Play Collective Festival" also in 2007 was his first appearance in an international festival. Which featured Shmuel Ram, DJ Kally, Martin Lamelas among others. At the age of 21, Alistair has kicked off 2008 with a weekly residency at Crobar Buenos Aires and has started to tour as a dj, playing at "El Cha Cha" Colombia, Bogota and "Mirame" Cordoba, Argentina. |
