Like a modern sophisticated chameleon, the Rhythm Punkz have always adapted, shape-shifted and even changed colour to survive in the ever-moving world of Dance culture and music.

Beginning at a time when only one word was used to describe the music, “Rave”, through to the era when basslines ruled the airwaves of urban Britain and the dancefloors of the worlds leading clubs, Rhythm Punkz (and previously Co-ordinate) were there giving their own unique productive take on the UK’s best and probably now only ‘great export’… dance music.

Weather it was unbelievably good fortune or some sub-conscious creative under-currents, Rhythm Punkz were there when Drum & Bass was the “in word”, and when instrumental breakbeat was hitting the charts. Likewise, when Electro Fever hit the scene and brought chart-topping success Rob was there intertwined in his productive force releasing his own interpretations of “vibrating artwork” to be admired through the ear’s of true dance music coiners.

Ali James, on the DJ side has had a great deal of success all over the world but particularly in Costa Rica and the USA. He has played in some of the best clubs around the globe and along side some of the legends of the scene. Both are not short of success with chart-topping success in 2002 – 2003 with the masterpiece “You got me burning” through to accreditations and remix work for the likes of Muse, Roni Size, Blue States, Missy Elliot & Badfellas, New Spirit Helsinki, LTJ Bukem, Peshay, Sound for Rent, Inner City & KLF but to name a few………

Into their twelfth year of Djing and Producing, the passion has not wavered and the drive to inspire and move forward is still in abundance. The Rhythm Punkz set “Djing in as many different places in the world” as the main aim of focus, and it appears to be working with great effect……. Having already ticked off Australia, China, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Italy, Poland and Canada, plus soon to be heading on a South American Tour……… things are moving at a ferocious pace.

Expect to hear more from the Punkz in the way of a live show in the near future along with many more big releases on various international labels.
