Electroaspect - Intuition pt.2 (Dec 16th, 2009)
» Tech House / Progressive
Torin and Colin C. return to Nightshade with some stellar remixes. Torin (Perfecto, Cold Harbour) has been a friend since long before Nightshade (before label head Kris B was even producing) he delivers first with two outstanding mixes, one a pumpin melodic tech house mix, and a second more minimal interpretation. The Torin remix comes in with a slammin beat and pounding club dynamics, choppy synth bits from the original with vocal chops and meta

Electroaspect - Intuition pt.1 (Nov 25th, 2009)
» Progressive / Tech House
» Avg Rating: 3.8 (of 24)
Josh DuPont, Grunjah and Vitas Merkel all join Nightshade to remix Electroaspect's techy melodic orignal tune. 'Intuition' comes in with a pumped up housey beat as melodic elements tease and the driving bass rolls underneath, giving way to a clean slow haunting arpeggiated synth riff that comes in throughout as the dynamics build. Electroaspect (Aljaz Fajmut, Slovakia) has been making quite a name for himself lately with well received releases

Panos - Machine Music (Oct 28th, 2009)
» Tech House / Progressive
» Avg Rating: 3.9 (of 28)
Kris B, Jairus Miller and Banx deliver three different takes on Panos's techy melodic original, as we keep this release entirely within the extremely talented pool of U.S. based artists. The original from Panos (following recent well received releases on Brandnewvibe and Giant Squid) comes in with a driving club beat and big sidechained pads, while synth blips make the melody over the top and a big dirty bass drops underneath. The track strips do

» Avg Rating: 4.2 (of 19)
Eclectic group of mixes covering most sub genres from Python, Jairus Miller, Yura Popov and Banx of this funky pumpin house track. The original mix comes in with groovy beats, funky bass and guitar, sax stabs, vocal samples and all things funky for one last blast of summer. For remix duties, we once again look to Russia and the talented crew behind the excellent Carica labels, Python take things a bit deeper making use of the guitar, vox and sa

Deep Future - Distance Love (Sep 2nd, 2009)
» Progressive / Tech House
» Avg Rating: 4.0 (of 47)
Remixes from Joel Armstrong, Beat Factory and Python compliment the excellent original production from Deep Future (a.k.a. Dj Santa Cruz, Uruguay). The original mix and edit combine new school tech house and progressive flavors, with an old school techno feel and retro Joey Beltram reminiscent "ecstacy" samples. Deep bass rumbles under a shuffly beat, a higher synth bass makes for the lead melody as choppy vocal bits echo throughout. Simple ar

Camilo - Yellow Moon / Deep Blue (Jul 15th, 2009)
» Progressive / Tech House
» Avg Rating: 4.3 (of 30)
Roell Sapphire, Python and Kris B deliver with some of Nightshade's finest remixes to date, complementing these techy melodic progressive originals from Argentina's Camilo (a.k.a. Diego Poblets). Roell Sapphire quite possibly steals the show with his perfectly crafted mix, taking the melodic progression further with a chunky driving bassline, beautiful complimentary melodies and elegant arrangement, creating something new and at the same time fa

Two excellent house tracks from hungarian producer/DJ Zack Marullo (Morrison Recordings), 'See The Life' is a pumpin' techy deep house track, bouncy beats and bass, vocal cuts and a hypnotic wind lead that will take you to another world. 'Lost Words' is a different kind of house tune, techy shuffle, bright vibe, funky organ and a great housey progression. Yura Popov (Carica Records) remix of 'Last Words' starts with a pumpin techno groove, big
